Beaches Resorts is the sister resort brand to Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean. While Sandals Resorts were created for two people in love, Beaches Resorts were created for everyone. There is definitely something for everyone at Beaches! We love Beaches for a number of different reasons and honestly anyone – couples, singles, families, groups can enjoy a vacation at a Beaches Resort.
There are currently three different Beaches properties in the Caribbean. Two in Jamaica and one in Turks and Caicos. Just like the islands of Jamaica and Turks and Caicos are unique from each other, each of the three resorts are completely unique and offer their own great experiences. Beaches Resorts in Jamaica
Beaches Ocho Rios is located in the Boscobel area of Ocho Rios, just 5 minutes from Ian Fleming International airport in Ocho Rios and about 2 hours from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. This resort is perfect for families who want a beach vacation with a variety of activity options off resort. Beaches Ocho Rios is nestled in the Jamaica hillside on a coved beach and is close to some of Jamaica’s top attractions, like Dunn’s River Falls. It’s the smaller of the three properties, but has a wide variety of activities for both kids and adults.
In addition to the standard amenities, Beaches Ocho Rios also offers golf at the Upton Golf and Country Club in Ocho Rios. Transfers to the course and green fees are included in your vacation package. Kids can even golf with their families after 12pm! This resort also offers pickleball courts, perfect for family game time OR for pickleball groups.
Adults staying at Beaches Ocho Rios also have access to Sandals Ocho Rios (transportation between the resorts is not included). Beaches Ocho Rios tends to offer the most affordable Beaches vacation.
Important to note: Beaches Ocho Rios does not offer butler service
Beaches Negril is the perfect resort if you have a family of beach lovers. This property is set on the world famous Seven Mile Beach with its miles of white sand and calm turquoise waters. Beaches Negril is a 70 minute transfer from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay and is well worth the drive. Negril, Jamaica is known as the laid back “Capital of Casual” and is the quintessential beach town.
If enjoying a great beach and water sports are your family’s thing then this is the perfect Jamaica family resort for you. As a part of the standard motorized water sports inclusions Beaches Negril also offers waterskiing and wakeboarding, in addition to the snorkeling, diving and glass bottom boat rides.
This resort also offers the stunning new Eventide and Firesky butler villas that can accommodate up to 18 people and are the ultimate in all-inclusive luxury family accommodations.
Adults staying at Beaches Negril also have access to Sandals Negril, just a 20 minute walk down the beach or a quick taxi ride (transportation between the resorts is not included).
With its laid-back vibe, Beaches Negril provides the perfect mix of relaxation and fun for everyone.
Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos
Beaches Turks and Caicos is the ultimate family Caribbean Resort. We know we aren’t supposed to have favorites, but honestly Beaches Turks and Caicos is the resort we keep coming back to year after year. Turks and Caicos is home to the world famous Grace Bay beach that offers the ultimate beach vacation. Grace Bay is seriously some of the best sand our toes have enjoyed!
Beaches Turks and Caicos is located directly on Grace Bay and has an expansive range of activities and dining options that will enhance any vacation. Beaches Turks offers the most dining options, an adults-only pool area, an expansive Pirates Island Water Park and EIGHT pickle ball courts. This resort also offers the best diving of all the Beaches properties.
Turks is the largest of the three Beaches properties and is divided into distinct, themed villages. We describe these villages in a previous post about this resort. At the time of publishing this post there is also a new village under construction by the Treasure Beach area of the resort. Based on the stunning new accommodations at Beaches Negril, we know this new village at Beaches Turks will be nothing short of amazing.
As we write this our agency President and founder is preparing to head back to Beaches Turks this week for a mom’s getaway with her friends. We feel Melinda says it best when she tells people she has traveled to Beaches Turks single, dating her husband, with kids, with extended family and now on a girlfriend’s getaway and this resort never disappoints, no matter what type of vacation you are seeking. Where are the newest Beaches Resorts?
Over the next few years we’ll see additional Beaches properties open. These will include a third property Jamaica, Beaches Emerald Bay in Exuma and even a Beaches in Barbados! For now though the newest things at Beaches are the new villas in Negril and the new village under construction in Turks and Caicos.
