Stacey's Trip To Jamaica–Day 2

Our second day at the beautiful Sandals Montego Bay started with an early wake-up call for a spa treatment at the Red Lane Spa & Salon. I had managed to squeeze in an appointment for a relaxing mani and pedi before my meeting with the resort sales staff. My husband (who by the way has never even seen the inside of a spa!) had also been talked into joining me for this event. After a little resistance that morning and some straight out pleading on the walk to the spa, he sat down in his chair and apologized to his spa attendant, Jasmine, over and over before she started going to work on his pedi on the rocks. I sat back and laughed as he slowly stopped resisting and gave into the relaxing, pampering sensation of the hot rocks. The girls there had such a good sense of humor and he came out with the best looking toes a man could ever ask for…lol (yes, he is going to kill me for posting this!)

We then rushed off to meet Miss Tina from the Sales Department for our tour to see all the wonderful offerings of Sandals Montego Bay. This is a magnificent resort with a stunning white-sand shoreline that extends the entire length of the resort. With a total of 250 rooms & suites falling into 19 different categories and all the entertainment one could ask for, it is truly a resort like no other! As we were touring the property, we got the opportunity to watch a bride and groom share their vows with each other in a beautiful beach setting that was absolutely breathtaking!

After walking the property, we seemed to work up our appetite so we stopped at Dino’s Pizzeria and the Mariner’s Beach Grill. Marc got a delicious brick oven pizza and I had some Jamaican Jerk Chicken…yum! As we sat there eating (and taste testing some of the bartender’s creative cocktails), we got to enjoy watching the Playmakers in action. Playmakers are a part of the resort staff that dedicate their day to making sure each and every guest has the time of their lives while visiting! We laughed as some guests tried out the Reggae dance moves they were being taught and had an absolute blast watching the Battle of the Sexes Challenge (where the girls won, of course!)

The next hour or so was spent enjoying the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea! We pulled our lounge chairs into the ocean for a little mid-day nap and to soak up some of that warm, Jamaican sunshine before heading out on a snorkeling tour to discover the underwater world below us! The snorkeling trips depart four times daily and you can take advantage of as many as you’d like for one low price – FREE! Along with many other water sports, such as: water-skiing, windsurfing, hobie cats, kayaks, scuba diving (resort certification does have a small fee), glass-bottom boat rides and much more!

Since we had a little time to kill before our dinner reservations at 8pm, we decided to hit up the swim-up pool bar for a while and kick back with some new found friends for a few games of shuffle board and darts. Then, it was back to the room to clean up and get ready for our dinner at Tokyo Joe’s!

Tokyo Joe’s is definitely one of my favorites! It features an Asian Stir-fry cuisine that is just as fun to watch them prepare as it is delicious to eat! I have to admit that it gets a little hot in there with all those flames! Plus the staff here was fabulous! They were letting the guests give their cooking skills a try while making it a fun, enjoyable dining experience for all!

With a full belly, a fist full of dirty bananas and Jamaican smiles (two of the best frozen drinks here in Jamaica!) and a warm fire blazing by the beach with some super comfy couches beside it, we pretty much called in a night lying there listening to the waves crash onto the shore! Ya Mon….
